Knights’ specialist team has advised Bicester Motion on two significant new leases with future mobility companies which will join the 444-acre estate in Bicester, Oxfordshire, home to mobility businesses past, present and future to help pioneer a sustainable mobility future.

YASA, the wholly owned Mercedes-Benz subsidiary electric motor specialist, has taken a 15 year lease to pre-let three landmark connected buildings for its UK HQ in the new Innovation Quarter at Bicester Motion,

Bicester Motion worked with specialists at Knights on the pre-let, with support from real estate partner Ariella Rubenchik and construction partner Ben Denton.

Bicester Motion has also signed an agreement with Skyports Infrastructure, the leader in vertiport infrastructure for the advanced air mobility (AAM) industry, to develop the UK’s first vertiport testbed at Bicester Motion.

The new vertiport, which will include a compact 160 sq m passenger terminal, will be a critical facility for testing ground infrastructure and flight operations and will play a significant role in enabling the next generation of electric, low noise aviation in the UK.

Ariella Rubenchik, Real Estate Partner at Knights, said:

“I am incredibly proud to be supporting Bicester Motion during this exciting period and to be a part of such major milestones.

"The success of Bicester Motion benefits not only its specialist partners but also the local community and I am very much looking forward to working alongside Bicester Motion on the next phases of development.”

Mike Doran, Asset and Leasing Manager, Bicester Motion, added:

“The team at Knights, in particular Ariella and Ben, have always been available, responsive and comprehensive with their advice. We have been impressed with how they have dealt with all instructions in both a professional and thorough manner, from the beginning of their involvement with our unique site and its intricacies, to date.”
